Bell Furnace

Bell Furnace manufactured by United Enterprises is used to perform heat treatments such as batch annealing of sheet coils and wires in a controlled atmosphere.

Brief Description:

We manufacture and export best-in-class Bell Furnaces, used for processes such as cementation, carbonitriding, quenching, annealing, preheating, tempering, normalizing and stress relieving. They are also used in sintering processes.

For annealing coils of cold-rolled steel strip, single-stack and multi-stack bell furnaces are most popular. Multi-stack bell furnaces have three to eight stacks installed on a rectangular pedestal beneath the heating dome, each fitted with its own muffle to protect the load from combustion by-products. Each stack is typically 3 to 5 metres high and accommodates three to five coils that can weigh up to 180 tonnes altogether. Gas-fired or electrically heated resistance heaters are used to heat the dome. After heating is finished, the dome is moved by crane to a different stand, and the goods are left to cool beneath the muffles on the first stand.

Each bell furnace is engineered for the customers coil weight, batch size and process requirement.
